The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) in partnership with TradeMark Africa (TMA), has released the final list of successful applicants for the 2026 Media Training on Standards and Metrology Reporting.
The specialized capacity-building programme will bring together selected journalists, editors, digital content creators and social media influencers.
The initiative funded by UKAID aims to strengthen media coverage of standards and metrology in Uganda.
The training will equip participants with practical knowledge on quality infrastructure, product certification, compliance, fair trade and consumer protection.
The programme comes at a time when Uganda is expanding its participation in regional, continental and international markets, including the East African Community (EAC).
Sylvia Kirabo, the Head of Public Relations & Marketing at UNBS, says the trainings are expected to enhance journalistic reporting that increase public awareness of standards and metrology related issues. The trainings are being led by Ultimate Multimedia Consult.
